Delaware Historical Society's Old Town Hall
We’re excited to announce our new performance home for our Wilmington Concert Series — the Delaware Historical Society‘s Old Town Hall, located at 504 N. Market Street in Wilmington. (Old Town Hall is pictured above at left; the entrance to Old Town Hall is through the main entrance of the Historical Society on the right.)
ABOUT THE DELAWARE HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Delaware Historical Society was founded in May 1864 for “the elucidation of history, particularly such portions as may refer to Delaware.” Over the next 15 decades, the organization refined its stated purpose to reflect both a changing society and the evolution of the public history profession. The mission of the Delaware Historical Society today is to serve as the statewide, non-profit organization that preserves, explores, shares and promotes Delaware history, heritage and culture to strengthen our community.
During our Wilmington Series, we’re pleased to announce to our patrons that on-street parking is FREE in the City on weekends. There is also FREE parking available at the Colonial Parking lot, located on 6th & Shipley Streets, just across from Willingtown Square. In addition, a paid ($5) parking garage is located just around the corner from neighbor venues, The Queen and Merchant Bar, at 5th & Market.
